At BOBs Bureau our focus is on supporting Black Owned Businesses to distinguish themselves as a part of the Better Black Businesses Brand in order to take advantage of the current climate of heightened interest in the marketplace for doing business with Black Owned Businesses and also to capitalize on the increased availability of funding.

It is an exciting time to be a Black Business Owner in Canada. Focus on Black Owned Businesses is at an unprecedented high due to the relatively, recent Anti-Black Racism events which have been extensively covered in the media.

The Black Entrepreneur Program financed and promoted by the Government of Canada is a part of this recent focus and it provides funding of up to $250,000 to start or grow a Black Owned Business. Additionally, support for buying from Black Owned Businesses has galvanized across Canada but remains largely untapped due to the lag in the level of response from the Black Community in starting and growing Black Owned Businesses to capitalize on this opportunity.

The Better Black Businesses Brand communicates a commitment to Customer Service and Best Business Practices and is a way of doing business that will elicit consumer trust as well as funding support and therefore fuel accelerated business growth. The cornerstone of the Better Black Businesses Brand is the BOBs Bureau Customer Service Assurance (CSA) Framework which enables Black Owned Businesses to demonstrate accountability for the quality of services and products which they provide to their customers and as a result build consumer trust and greater market appeal.

Consumers are potential customers and Trust is the prime motivation that converts them into actual customers.  Accountability for customer service ensures that the customer base is maintained by ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. BOBs Bureau helps Black Owned Businesses to create Consumer Trust through the Customer Service Assurance Framework which demonstrates accountability for product or service quality. The Customer Service Assurance Framework includes the Customer Service Guidelines and Standards which Black Owned Businesses attest to and practice to demonstrate accountability for customer service and to build and maintain customer confidence and trust. BOBs Bureau also provides solutions for resolving customer service issues and preventing negative reviews.

BOBS Bureau also maintains a Better Black Businesses Directory of its members and customers of these businesses are able to record their reviews of the businesses and also to contact the businesses concerning customer service issues that they wish to escalate.

BOBs Bureau helps its members to distinguish themselves as Better Black Businesses by providing strategic direction and by helping to create Consumer Trust through the Customer Service Assurance (CSA) Framework which supports the conversion of potential customers into actual customers and the maintenance of a satisfied customer base.

Our Members Attest to and practice the BOBs Bureau Customer Service Assurance (CSA) Framework which provides Accountability for Customer Service Standards. This builds Trust into the business’ relationship with its customers and supports business growth.

BOBS Bureau also maintains a Better Black Businesses Directory of its members and customers of these businesses are able to record their reviews of the businesses and also to contact the businesses concerning customer service issues that they wish to escalate.

There are two membership plans a standard and a featured. The standard plan costs $150 per month whilst the featured plan is $599 per month. Both plans include the listing of the business in the Better Black Businesses Directory, which enables customers of these businesses to record their reviews of the businesses and also to contact the businesses concerning customer service issues that they wish to escalate.

Additionally, the featured plan includes a monthly review of unaddressed customer services issues for each business, which were reported on the BOBs Bureau platform with  recommendations to resolve the issues. 

This provides additional consumer assurance which should lead to more customers and increased profitability. The featured plan also included featured display for business which should result in a heightened business profile.
