Vendor of Record Consortium Membership
Becoming a government or corporate vendor of record can be a great opportunity for Black Owned Businesses in Canada to gain access to a larger pool of potential clients and contracts, increase their visibility, and set themselves apart from other businesses in the same industry.
BOBs Bureau, in partnership with the Black Business Consortium, enables Black Owned Businesses to combine their resources to meet the qualifications of high-profile corporate and government vendors of record programs and benefit from contract awards that they might not be able to access individually.
Membership of the Black Business Consortium is a one-time fee of $1500 and a monthly subscription of $500. BOBs Bureau will create and maintain a database of the capabilities of each business that is a member of the Black Business Consortium which will be used by the Consortium, under a partnership agreement with each of the member businesses, in its applications for vendor of record status and to tender for contracts. This is an unbelievable value compared with the costs of individually identifying suitable vendor of record programs and attempting to meet their requirements on an individual basis.
Additionally, BOBs Bureau supports Black Owned Business’ Visibility Group (BOBs Visibility Group), which is a lobby group whose slogan is Fair Reciprocation for Taxes and Business and is aimed at encouraging governments and corporations to reciprocate for the taxes and business generated within the Black Community with a flow of contracts into the Black Community which is comparable to other minority communities. All Black Owned Businesses are greatly encouraged to join and support this lobby group.
BOBs Bureau also provides a separate service to Black Owned Businesses to meet the requirements should they wish to individually apply to corporate and government vendor of record programs.
$500.00 / month and a $1,500.00 sign-up fee
