What is a verified business?

A verified business is one that has been verified by the owner of the business by completing our verification process. A verified business agrees to implement the BOBs Bureau Customer Service Assurance (CSA) Framework and is required to sign and display a certificate that attests to the business’ compliance to the CSA Framework.

Why should business owners verify their businesses?

As members of BOBs Bureau, Black Owned Businesses are able to distinguish themselves as Better Black Businesses and grow by building consumer confidence and trust as a result of implementing the CSA Framework, in addition to optimizing their business processes.

How do I verify a business?

Your business might already be listed on BOBs Bureau using publicly available information. To find a business that is already listed search for the business name on the business listing page and click to open the page. At the top of the page, it will state “Verify”. Click this link to provide information that you own the business, then complete the payment process by selecting the Standard Membership or the Featured Membership.

If the business is not yet listed then the business owner must also submit the information required to list the business through the listing submission process. Then, continue with the verification, membership style selection and payment processes.
